About

PURPOSE. PASSION. PERSISTENCE.

These are the 3 single-handed, most important elements needed to create and live the healthy life you have always wanted. Seeing that you are here right now, I can tell you that you MOST DEFINITELY have all 3.

Hi there! My name is Sara Emily! I’m a health and fitness specialist dedicated to helping YOU live a healthy and active lifestyle through the power of blood pumping workouts, hearty recipes, and motivational support.

But let me fully introduce myself!

My health and fitness story begins when I first went to college at California State University, Fullerton as a Kinesiology major.

During my first year, I got a job at the Rock Climbing wall at the on-campus gym. And let me tell you, this was the BEST job that I could have EVER imagined to have during all 4 of my college years.

Before working here, I knew absolutely nothing about rock climbing but quickly found myself loving this new way of fitness. It was so different and unconventional from the typical gym sessions I had been doing, I wanted to do more.

So, I began climbing with some of my coworkers at different gyms across Southern California! Not only was it a great workout, but I had SO MUCH FUN doing it!

During this time, I also began to take my health and fitness much more seriously. I began eating cleaner, started lifting weights properly, and was smashing out HIIT workouts every single week (and still do to this day)! I felt like I had found my PASSION.

I also began to take my fitness to new and different heights (literally)!

I adventured to different National Parks (Sequoia, Zion, Joshua Tree, and Haleakala to be exact!) and found myself falling in LOVE with hiking and just being in nature.

Here are pictures of me at the different National Parks! I truly wish I had a good photo from Joshua Tree, but I went to Joshua Tree in August and it’s absolutely no joke around that time of year.

Now, let’s fast forward to the end of my junior year.

During this year, I started to really nail down into my academics and my future. It was my goal to go to graduate school for Physical Therapy, no matter what the odds were.

I outlined my life’s roadmap for all of the classes and volunteer hours I needed to do before applying to Physical Therapy school to a T (but we can all imagine how this is going to turn out).

So, I declared my concentration in Clinical Movement Science and landed myself a job as a Physical Therapy Aide.

But after 6 months, I quit. And I am NOT a quitter.

Don’t get me wrong, I learned SO much about rehabilitation at this job and I’ll forever be grateful for all of the knowledge I gained there. But I quickly realized that it just wasn’t what I was meant to do for the rest of my life (which I was totally okay with).

Alright, cue the tiny violin and sad music.

There I was, now in my final year of college, so close to graduating, with no idea what the heck I was going to do #midlifecrisis

So I did hours and hours of research.

“What can you do with a Kinesiology degree?”

“Jobs in the Kinesiology field.”

“What to do when you don’t know what you’re doing.” (I hope you got a good laugh out of this one haha)

And voila! I found myself an internship in Corporate Wellness with a highly respected corporation. I really had no idea what I was getting myself into, but hey, I was one step towards figuring out what I wanted to do!

Now, to say I loved this internship is an understatement.

This place truly allowed me to turn my PASSION for fitness into my ultimate PURPOSE. And that is to helping others.

I was teaching group fitness classes nearly every day, executing fitness assessments, and giving one-on-one consultations for personal training and nutrition. I even created a new cardio kickboxing group fitness class and reconstructed the spin class!

Can you see why I absolutely loved this place?

But as graduation drew closer and closer, I knew that I was meant to do more. I knew that I wanted to create more of a life where I could help others even beyond the corporate realm.

So, here’s what I did to do that:

  • I graduated CSUF with honors,
  • I discovered my passion,
  • I turned my passion into my purpose in life,
  • I saw the potential in my purpose and PERSISTED my way to where I am today… and that’s to help YOU!

I believe that ANYONE can take their own health and well-being into their own hands.

But I get it, it’s NOT EASY doing it alone.

Through fun workouts, nutritional tips, healthy recipes, exercise education, and motivational support, I’m here to help YOU lead a healthy and fit lifestyle.

Now, if all of that sounds fun to you (which I really hope it does), I want to invite you to join my email list community!
